The album Standing on a Beach by The Cure is a must-have for any fan of the band's early work. This collection of singles spans from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s and features some of the band's most iconic tracks.
From the opening notes of "Killing an Arab" to the hauntingly beautiful "A Forest," the album showcases the band's unique blend of post-punk and new wave. The raw energy of tracks like "Boys Don't Cry" and "Jumping Someone Else's Train" is infectious, while the dreamy, atmospheric soundscapes of "Charlotte Sometimes" and "The Drowning Man" are mesmerizing.

About Cure, The
English new wave / post-punk / pop rock band founded in 1976 in Crawley, West Sussex. The band was initially called Malice in 1976, Easy Cure in 1977, and finally The Cure in 1978. The band has seen many line-up changes but Robert Smith has been the frontman / songwriter / vocalist / guitarist throughout their existence. Inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2019.
