City Final is the band previously known as Passione Nera. Formed in Rome as an intimate venture into folk-pop waters, the project grew and expanded since late 2005. In July 2008, the band released the Research EP (Cold Meat Industry), which displayed a captivating blend of guitar-based pop, folk-rock, and cinematic arrangements. Upon late 2009, the band completed its transition to City Final.
The critically-acclaimed debut, How We Danced, was released 6 June 2011 on Five To Midnight. The record, mastered by Duncan Cowell at Sound Mastering (Richard Hawley, Billy Bragg), counted guest appearances by (Cousteau, Liam McKahey and The Bodies), (Bologna Violenta, Il Teatro Degli Orrori, Baustelle, etc.), and (Motta) amongst other friends. The video for Flashforward at Three, shot in Belgrade, premiered in 2012.
The highly anticipated second album, Anecdotes, is released 27 April 2018. Conceived between Budapest, Berlin, and Rome, the LP further expands the chromatic palette of the band, as also testified by the colorful video for Buda Hills. Anecdotes is the most self-assured collection of songs crafted by the band in its career a tribute to fully evolved artistic vision and narrative incidents.
