Chaos Echœs' latest album, Remains, is a dark and haunting exploration of the depths of the human psyche. The French experimental metal band has created a soundscape that is both unsettling and mesmerizing, drawing the listener in with its intricate layers of sound.

The album's opening track, "Embodied by Perfidious Curls," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its eerie, atmospheric soundscapes and dissonant guitar riffs. The vocals are sparse but effective, adding to the sense of unease that permeates the album.

Tracks like "Shānti (Emptiness, Pt. 2)" and "Surrounded and Amazed by These Unplumbed Abysses of the Inverted Sea" showcase the band's ability to create complex, multi-layered compositions that are both challenging and rewarding. The use of unconventional instruments, such as the saxophone and the didgeridoo, adds to the album's otherworldly feel.
