Bohemian Betyars' album Csavargó is a wild and energetic ride through Hungarian folk-punk. The band seamlessly blends traditional folk melodies with punk rock attitude, creating a unique and infectious sound that's sure to get listeners moving.
From the opening track "Táncolj!" to the closing number "Csavargó," the album is packed with catchy hooks, driving rhythms, and spirited vocals. The band's use of traditional instruments such as the cimbalom and violin adds a rich texture to the music, while the electric guitar and bass give it a modern edge.
Lyrically, the songs touch on themes of rebellion, freedom, and living life on your own terms. The lyrics are mostly in Hungarian, but even non-speakers can appreciate the passion and emotion conveyed in the music.
The beautiful girl looks like my Mother when she was young.
Now she cannot remember anything what was said 2 minutes ago.
But she is still herself. And this is the music she always liked.
It is in her heart. She gave itr to me from heart also, when I was a child.
The best ?the best ?
Luckely the Ördögkatlan Fesztivál was in the middle of our holiday. So we drove alle the way to the south of Hungary to seen this great band. We don't speak or read a single word of Hungarian, so we did not realise that it was not only Parno Graszt we were going to see. The concert in Nagyharsányi made me an instant fan of Bohemian Betyars as well.
I was easily the tallest person in the croud, being Dutch in the middle of only lovely Hungarian people. It was a great evening. I have danced my socks off an enjoyd all the happy and wild young people (being 50 years my self). Thank you for enriching my live. Driving more than 2x1500 Km was worth it.
We also loved other acts on the festival and of course the lovely towns and villages in this area.
Hade shukar shei..
But the rest I am unable to decipher..
