Notes

  • The original founder members of Light Of The World and pioneers of UK funk/dance come together once again as Beggar & Co with a talented array of top class musicians under the mantle of The Funk Jazz Collective. Kenny Wellington, Breeze McGrath, Jean Paul 'Bluey' Mau nick, David Baptist and Peter Hinds are joined on this reunion by Blue's Incognito horn men Kevin Robinson and Fayez Virji. Noel McKoy of JTQ fame is also on alongside members of Central Line and former Steve Arrington drummer Billy Osborne. Top keyboards man Toby Baker and vibraphone player Orphy Robinson is also along for this funky musical journey. Camelle Hinds is also there on bass and vocals.
  • As members of LOTW and Beggar & Co the musicians enjoyed National chart success with 'Time/I'm So Happy and London Town as well as (Somebody) Help Me Out and Mule Chant No 2. Bluey is of course renown for his great works with Incognito including the fantastic Always There. Central Line achieved national chart success with a great cover of 'Nature Boy'. This group of musicians have appeared on recordings totaling sales of over 50,000,000 with their services being used collectively and individually by a range of artists in the industry including Paul Mc Cartney, Simply Red, Gabrielle, The Style Council, Tina Turner, Billy Ocean, Alexander O''Neal
  • This CD is a unique coming together of some of the finest exponents of the genre around. Potent brass, funky guitars and a pounding bass and drums. Strictly in the Old Skool style. Fans of LOTW, Beggar & Co, Incognito, and JTQ will love this CD.
