One of the three most important Italian prog-rock bands from the 1970s, together with and . It was built around the figures of the Nocenzi brothers, Vittorio and Gianni, both keyboard players, and the charismatic voice of singer Francesco Di Giacomo.
The band is still active, after many lineup changes, including the departure of founding member Gianni Nocenzi in 1984 and the sudden death of Di Giacomo in a road accident in February 2014.
