Review by Gianluca Dettori

In The Wee Small Hours, the album by Wes Montgomery, is a timeless classic that showcases the jazz guitarist's incredible talent and unique style. The album consists of ten tracks, all of which are instrumental, and highlights Montgomery's ability to create a relaxing and soothing atmosphere with his music.

From the opening track, "Wives and Lovers," Montgomery's smooth and melodic guitar playing immediately captures the listener's attention. The album continues with tracks such as "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" and "If Ever I Would Leave You," which showcase Montgomery's ability to infuse each song with his own distinct sound while still staying true to the original composition.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning," which features Montgomery's delicate and precise guitar playing. The song is a perfect example of Montgomery's ability to create a mood with his music, and it's easy to imagine oneself sitting in a dimly lit jazz club, sipping a drink and enjoying the music.
