Review by Andrew Johns

Doce by Vórtice is a compelling album that is sure to captivate listeners from start to finish. The band's unique blend of progressive rock, metal, and experimental music creates a sound that is both intricate and powerful. The album is a masterclass in musicianship, with each member of the band contributing their own distinctive style to the mix.

The album's opening track, "Doce," sets the tone for what is to come, with its haunting melody and driving rhythm. The album's standout tracks include "Espiral," a dynamic and complex piece that showcases the band's technical prowess, and "Frio," a haunting ballad that is both beautiful and melancholic.

Throughout the album, Vórtice demonstrates a remarkable ability to balance complex instrumentation with emotional depth. The band's use of unconventional time signatures and intricate arrangements is never gratuitous, but rather serves to enhance the emotional impact of the music.
