The album "Shadrach Blues Rhythm Popcorn Exotica Tittyshakers" by Various is a collection of 24 tracks that offer an eclectic mix of genres. The album features a variety of artists, each bringing their unique style to the table.

The album kicks off with the upbeat and funky "Shadrach" by The Soul Lifters. The track sets the tone for what's to come, with its groovy bassline and catchy horn section. Other standout tracks on the album include "Let's Do the Popcorn" by The Cousins, which features a driving rhythm and infectious melody, and "Mambo in the Moonlight" by The Tornados, which has a Latin-inspired beat and a jazzy saxophone solo.

The album also includes some slower, bluesy tracks such as "I Got Love" by Bobby Bland and "I Can't Quit You Baby" by Willie Dixon. These songs offer a nice change of pace and showcase the artists' ability to convey emotion through their music.

cool!
Trumpets sound terrible. This reminds me of a grade school band concert. Sorry this is not top notch.
Zorongo gitano (Original poem / letter).
(Federico García Lorca,poem 1931).

I have blue eyes,
I have blue eyes,
and the same heart
that the crest of the fire.

At night I go out to the patio
and I'm tired of crying
to see that I love you so much
and you do not want anything

This gypsy is crazy,
crazy that they are going to tie her up;
that what he dreams at night
he wants it to be true.
(rest of poem)
The hands of my sweetheart
they are embroidering a layer
with wallflower gourd
and with water jacket.
When you were my boyfriend,
for the white spring,
the hooves of your horse
four silver sobs.
The moon is a small well,
the flowers are worthless,
what your arms are worth
when they embrace me at night,
what your arms are worth
when they embrace me at night.
The song Big Bad Train (1958) was an obvious influence on AG & TRK, that whole beat. I've never heard anybody comment on this. Pete "Mad Daddy" Myers used it as his theme song. I love Al Garcia & The Rhythm Kings, great sound... why doesn't anybody play this kind of stuff any more?
Well, people don't actually like tunes anymore, do they? It's like their flight receptors are damaged or something.
This theme is based on a composition "Zorongo gitano" of the immortal Federico García Lorca composed in 1931, killed in Spain by spanish fascism, because of his homosexual condition ... I leave you a song by García Lorca playing the piano, and he sings " The Argentinita ". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7xjq6aX938
Exotic is by Bruce Morgan, but clearly draws heavily on the traditional Spanish dance piece El Zorongo. This is the original version of Exotic - this or the very similar version by Jim Waller & the Deltas. It quickly evolved into more surfy versions by the Surftones, the Original Surfaris, the Sentinals, and Bob Vaught & the Renegaids.
Al Garcia and The rythmn Kings wond the Battle fothe Bands about 1965, I thnik, And this was one of the songs they played, they were out of Delano Ca, about 35 miles from My Hometown Bakersfield, Cheers~!

Sure, yeah i know what it actually means, but common parlance has regulated it to a super-generalised everything-is-everything whatever. Incidentally: in my previous comment I wasn't having a pop at you, or your comment. Glad you like the record, and I like very much the high standard of great-record-age over at your site.
