Sumac - Love In Shadow

Love In Shadow, the latest release by Sumac, is a powerful and intense album that showcases the band's musical prowess and artistic vision. From the opening track "The Task" to the closing number "Attis' Blade," Sumac takes the listener on a sonic journey that is both challenging and rewarding.
The album is characterized by its heavy, distorted guitar riffs, complex rhythms, and Aaron Turner's haunting vocals. The songs are long, with many of them exceeding the ten-minute mark, but they never feel repetitive or boring. Instead, each track is a carefully crafted piece of music that builds and evolves, taking the listener on a journey through different moods and emotions.
One of the highlights of Love In Shadow is the track "Ecstasy of Unbecoming," which features a beautiful and haunting melody that is contrasted with heavy, distorted guitars.
