American composer and jazz reed player (alto and tenor sax, clarinet, flute), born November 17, 1927, Charleston, West Virginia, USA, died May 13, 2015, Tarzana, California, USA. Drasnin played and recorded with the big bands of 1950, 1953, 1953, 1953-1954, and 1960, and with 's Quintet in 1956-1958. He wrote the scores for many television series including The Twilight Zone, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible, Lost In Space and others.
