Review by Jason Keller

Quatre Etoiles' latest album, Dance, is an impressive collection of upbeat and dynamic tracks that will get listeners on their feet. The album features a range of styles, from salsa to reggae, all infused with the band's signature African rhythms.

The album's opener, "Soirée Disco," sets the tone with its catchy melody and infectious beat. The title track, "Dance," is a standout, with its driving rhythm and soaring vocals. "Mama Africa" is another highlight, with its vibrant horn section and call-and-response vocals.

Throughout the album, Quatre Etoiles showcases their impressive musicianship and ability to blend different genres seamlessly. The production is top-notch, with each instrument and vocal part clearly defined and balanced.

About Quatre Etoiles

Les Quatre Etoiles was a Soukous (the Congolese dance music of the 1980s and 1990s that was immensely popular throughout Africa and elsewhere) musical group, in existence from 1982 to 1996, consisting of the Paris-based Congolese musicians (bass and rhythm guitar), (vocals), (lead guitar) and (vocals). It was commonly called a "supergroup," since each of the four members of Les Quatre Etoiles have long established individual musical careers.

Comments

Cette chanson Kabibi très nostalgique
The first time I listened to this album was in Homa-Bay, Kenya, Cave Inn Club. My own brother staged a disco (Exotica Disco) in the club. That was circa 1985. These songs still make me feel the same way. Sometimes when I love a song too much, I forget how to dance. Long live 4-Stars.
Just the time I joined the military when I was listening to this heartful music in ksm (Action Centre, Kondele) a nice song to date despite advanced years guys. God Bless u abundantly for the very whole album.Thanks.
Where can I buy this entire album?
I first heard this in 1985 when a fellow researcher in our lab gave me a mix tape of African music. Kelele was my favourite track and I've loved Les 4 Etoiles ever since.
I remember my dad playing this album in the car, during multiple road-trips in the 90s when I was growing up. Still love it today. We need this album on Spotify.
Sweet lingala good for relaxation
Fue unos de los mejores, porque no el mejor en su ritmo y epoca
