Midwestern act and band, which recorded mainly in Chicago in 1936-1937. Don't confuse with , a band that had a different lineup and who recorded in New York a bit earlier (1935), yet that played a similar kind of music as the New Dixie Demons. 1936 line up: Jimmy Lytell (clarinet) Perry Botkin (guitar) Ward Levy (bass) George York (bass) Ray McKinley (drums) Frank Novak (sound effects) Daniel Hornsby (vocals).
