Bells Special Edition by Minako Yoshida is a stunning album that showcases the artist's incredible range and talent. The album is a reissue of Yoshida's 1980 release, Bells, and includes three previously unreleased tracks.
The album opens with the title track, "Bells," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its funky bassline and catchy chorus. Yoshida's vocals are smooth and soulful, effortlessly gliding over the track's instrumentation.
Other standout tracks include "Town," a groovy disco-inspired track with a catchy hook, and "Tornado," a slower, more introspective song that showcases Yoshida's ability to convey emotion through her vocals.
The three bonus tracks included in the special edition are just as impressive as the rest of the album. "Midnight Driver" is a funky, upbeat track with a driving rhythm section, while "Tornado (Live)" showcases Yoshida's powerful vocals in a live setting. The final bonus track, "Town (Instrumental)," allows the listener to fully appreciate the intricate instrumentation of the song.
