Review by Eric Lovett, Jr.

The album Violinsonaten Es Dur Op 12 Nr 3 A Moll Op 23 A Dur Op 30 Nr 1 by Ludwig Van Beethoven, Carl Seemann Wolfgang Schneiderhan is a remarkable piece of classical music. The album features three violin sonatas, each of which is masterfully crafted and performed by the talented duo of Seemann and Schneiderhan.

The first sonata, Es Dur Op 12 Nr 3, is a lively and energetic piece that showcases Beethoven's skill in composing for the violin. Seemann and Schneiderhan's performance is flawless, with both musicians displaying an impressive level of technical proficiency and artistry.

The second sonata, A Moll Op 23, is a more introspective piece that allows the violin to express a range of emotions, from melancholy to hopefulness. The musicians' interpretation of this sonata is particularly moving, with Seemann's violin conveying a sense of longing and Schneiderhan's accompaniment providing a gentle and supportive backdrop.

The final sonata, A Dur Op 30 Nr 1, is a complex and challenging piece that requires both musicians to be at the top of their game. Seemann and Schneiderhan rise to the occasion, delivering a powerful and dynamic performance that showcases Beethoven's genius as a composer.

German composer and pianist, born in 1770 (baptized 17 December 1770) in Bonn, Germany and died 26 March 1827 in Vienna, Austria. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in classical music. Beethoven led Viennese Classicism to its highest development and paved the way for Romantic music. Beethoven was the eldest son of a singer in the Kapelle of the Archbishop-Elector of Cologne and grandson of the Archbishop's Kapellmeister. He moved in 1792 to Vienna, where he had some lessons from Haydn and others, quickly establishing himself as a remarkable keyboard-player and original composer. By 1815 increasing deafness made public performance impossible and accentuated existing eccentricities of character, patiently tolerated by a series of rich patrons and his royal pupil the Archduke Rudolph. Beethoven did much to enlarge the possibilities of music and widen the horizons of later generations of composers. To his contemporaries he was sometimes a controversial figure, making heavy demands on listeners both by the length and by the complexity of his writing, as he explored new fields of music.
