Summary by Travis McDougald

Hard Luck Ace is a solid album that showcases Dalton's talent as a singer and songwriter. The production is polished, but not overly slick, and the songs are well-crafted and emotionally resonant. Fans of traditional country music will appreciate Dalton's honest, down-to-earth approach, and newcomers to the genre may find themselves pleasantly surprised by her unique sound. All in all, Hard Luck Ace is a worthy addition to any country music collection.

HARD LUCK ACE
I have followed LJD since she started. She only gets better with age. She is a storyteller, sings for the common folk, for the weary and the poor. I've seen her in concert and met her son when he was selling her photos. In person she still manages to talk with her fans. Beautiful inside and out. Glad she left Nashville, they didn't appreciate her or her music. Love her still and I'm old now, but still would travel to see her up in NV or N CA. Jen in Sac
Born Jill Byrem. Lacy hit #38 in Billboard, 8-26-89. God bless you, G.K., for postin' it. Thanx! Have a blessed rest of the week!
if only whatzhername Swift could write and sing songs like this.. hahaha no chance in country music history can she.. but if she could, she should. Lacy is a classic act to try to walk in her boots..
Seen her live in Laughlin Nevada in the late 80's
This is one of the most awesome country songs EVER. It rates up there with Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes by George Jones.
Hard Luck Ace is track #9 on Lacy's Survivor Album
what a wonderful lady and a great singer!
Note who each part of the song pays tribute to the style and sound of the artist being praised.
And, yes, for the record, She DID meet Janis in a bar in Santa Cruz, with a dealer she pretended to ignore I would love to see her write her autobiography. She has known EVERYBODY.
Lacy hit #38 in Billboard, 8-26-89. God bless!
@wildirishindian you got that right!
