Review by Carl Burke

The album Deutsche Geistliche Konzerte German Sacred Concertos by Johann Rosenmüller, performed by the Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble, is a beautiful collection of sacred music that showcases the composer's mastery of the genre. The ensemble's performance is flawless, with each musician contributing to a cohesive and harmonious sound.

The album features a range of vocal and instrumental pieces, from the lively and joyful "Laudate pueri Dominum" to the more contemplative "De profundis clamavi." Each piece is imbued with a sense of reverence and devotion, making it the perfect soundtrack for reflection and meditation.

The album's standout moments include the hauntingly beautiful "Miserere mei Deus," which showcases the ensemble's vocal prowess, and the uplifting "Magnificat," which features a soaring soprano solo.
