Jamiroquai's album Smile, released in 2005, is a fun and groovy addition to their discography. The album features a mix of upbeat disco and funk tracks, with Jay Kay's signature falsetto vocals and catchy melodies.
The opening track, "Feels Just Like It Should," sets the tone for the album with its funky bassline and catchy chorus. Other standout tracks include "Seven Days in Sunny June," which features a more laid-back, summery vibe, and "Electric Mistress," a high-energy disco track with a driving beat.

On 2 June 2011, a competition began to design artwork for a brand-new Jamiroquai single, "Smile", an outtake from Rock Dust Light Star. On June 9, the winner of the competition was announced, and the song was initially made available for free download via SoundCloud and was later published for free download on music journalism sites such as Earmilk.
