Haydn's Die Schöpfung The Creation Highlights, is a beautiful rendition of one of the most celebrated choral works in classical music history. The album presents a collection of highlights from the original oratorio, showcasing the composer's remarkable skill in crafting a musical narrative of the biblical story of creation.
From the opening movement, "The Representation of Chaos," to the triumphant finale, "Achieved is the Glorious Work," Haydn's orchestration and choral arrangements are simply breathtaking. The soloists, including soprano Sandrine Piau, tenor Ian Bostridge, and bass-baritone Neal Davies, deliver powerful performances that complement the grandeur of the music.
One of the standout tracks is "The Heavens are Telling," a jubilant chorus that celebrates the splendor of the created world. The choir's harmonies are sublime, and the orchestral accompaniment is uplifting and joyful.

Franz Joseph Haydn was an Austrian composer of the Classical period.
He brings the "sonata form" to a very high degree of improvement.
His symphonies and his string quartets (forms of which he is considered "the father") have become highly inspirational style models.
Haydn made a fundamental contribution to the development of chamber music; thanks to the numerous quartets,
trios for piano, for strings and also with the unusual trios for baryton, viola and cello.
