Review by Rahul Nanda

Symonie Nr 9 C dur Op Posth by Franz Schubert, performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker under the direction of Karl Böhm, is a masterpiece of classical music. The album features four movements that showcase Schubert's genius for melody and orchestration.

The opening movement, Andante - Allegro ma non troppo, is a stunning showcase of Schubert's ability to create sweeping, emotional melodies. The Berliner Philharmoniker under Böhm's direction brings a rich, full sound to the piece, with the strings soaring over the brass and woodwinds. The second movement, Andante con moto, is a more introspective piece that highlights Schubert's gift for creating intricate, delicate textures.

The Scherzo, Allegro vivace, is a lively, energetic piece that showcases the Berliner Philharmoniker's precision and agility. Böhm's direction keeps the tempo brisk and the energy high, creating a thrilling listening experience. The final movement, Allegro vivace, is a triumphant conclusion to the symphony, with the orchestra building to a powerful crescendo.
