About Duty
Duty was started by Kent Goude and Anders van de Geer as a test to see if their different music tastes could in someway be combined to create something interesting.
The goal was to create something new - a mix between techno/synth/rock.
The first result became the song "Dirty mind" which was released as a CD-single at mp3.com. This first attempt to define the Duty-sound was performed with very simple equipment but they both realised that they liked working together.
Duty appeared on the compilation "Powerspot 9" (Powerspot/Memento Materia) with the song "Looks like trouble". The song was voted as the best song on the compilation by 50 DJ's who received the record.
Jürgen Lindgren joins the band as a guitarist in 2005. This is a reinforcement for future live gigs, but also bringing some new influences to the band.
