Duke Ellington Meets Coleman Hawkins 1 is a classic jazz album that brings together two of the most renowned musicians of the genre. The album features 10 tracks that showcase the unique styles of both Duke Ellington and Coleman Hawkins.

The album kicks off with "Limbo Jazz," a lively and upbeat tune that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The interplay between the saxophone and piano is particularly impressive, highlighting the talents of both musicians.

Other standout tracks include "Mood Indigo," a hauntingly beautiful ballad that showcases the emotional depth of both Ellington and Hawkins. "Wanderlust" is another highlight, with Hawkins' saxophone leading the way over Ellington's intricate piano playing.

Помню, как в детстве я кайфовал от этой шикарной пьесы, звучавшей со старой советской пластинки...
5:02 really beautiful chords by the governor!!!!!!!
two friends meeting each other.. and produced something special!
As I recall the story, this was secretly recorded during a practice session. The drummer was mindlessly singing in the background, not aware that this would be a final print. Duke liked the singing and kept it in.
1:44 the original "gang gang"
Yeah!
