DoRéMi - The Waiting Room

Review by Vishnu Prasad

The Waiting Room by DoRéMi is a thought-provoking and emotionally charged album that explores the complexities of human relationships and the struggles of modern life. With its eclectic mix of musical styles, from punk rock to folk and electronica, the album creates a unique and dynamic sound that is both energetic and introspective.

The lyrics are raw and honest, delving into themes of love, loss, and existential angst. The standout tracks include "Man Overboard," a fast-paced punk rock anthem that captures the frustration and desperation of a failing relationship, and "The Waiting Room," a haunting ballad that reflects on the inevitability of death and the uncertainty of what lies beyond.

Helen Carter told me this version was on the internets. Thanks heaps for posting, it's nowhere else.
Hi, Carla. This is the original version. The most famous was released in 1985. This one was released in 1982. So,໿ this is the original one :)
Fanbloodytastic. The later version is good too but this is the best. Number 101 on my Top 300 Songs of All Time (rateyourmusic/SandyMc)
Hey, friend. Thanks for your comments. I love to share rare tracks. I think you're lived a great moment in the history of the good music. Because a lot of good artists have released many records around the world and this kind of music style was the "rule" of musical production. You're a lucky one! Hugs :D
Very nice!!! Are you a radio broadcaster? I had a short experience with radio. It was very good. I have good memories from that period :)
Wow, I remember being in Melbourne when this song came out (I still have the vinyl single) but I'd never heard this version before, it's ... really interesting!! Thanks for sharing, I just wish EMI etc would allow a valid (lo-res, lo-fi) version to stay on youtube, and point people at how to buy the real thing. I digitised my vinyl copy of Happiest Place in Town until I could finally track down a CD of the real thing...
That's true. I prefer this one too. The second one hasn't the same energy.
Oh, it´s awesome, but where´s the original version?
I was playing this on air 1982/3 on 2NCR-FM when I started my radio career!
This EP made Number One on my Top 100 most underrated albums of all time.
This 12 inch EP is an absolute masterpiece, Do Re Mi were one of the best bands in the world at the time, playing in Sydney pubs to crowds of 50 to 100 people.
