Review by Luis Leal

From The Vaults, the latest album by Chicken Shack, is a treasure trove of previously unreleased material that showcases the band's bluesy sound and impressive musicianship. The album features recordings made between 1968 and 1974, including live performances, studio outtakes, and alternate versions of some of their most popular songs.

The album opens with a live version of "The Thrill is Gone," a classic blues tune that Chicken Shack infuses with their own unique style. The band's signature guitar work is on full display throughout the album, with standout tracks like "When My Left Eye Jumps" and "Reconsider Baby" showcasing their virtuosic playing.

One of the highlights of the album is the previously unreleased track "As Time Goes Passing By," which features a hauntingly beautiful vocal performance by lead singer Christine Perfect (later known as Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac). Her powerful voice is also showcased on the tracks "Webbed Feet" and "Telling Your Fortune."
