Review by Theresia Regina

Solid Gold 68 by Chet Atkins is a delightful album that showcases the masterful guitar playing of one of country music's most revered artists. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers of classic songs from the era, all of which are performed with Atkins' trademark elegance and precision.

The album kicks off with the upbeat and catchy "Honey," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. Other standout tracks include the hauntingly beautiful "Yesterday," the lively "Windy and Warm," and the upbeat and playful "Yakety Axe."

Throughout the album, Atkins' guitar playing is simply stunning. His fingerpicking style is both intricate and fluid, and he effortlessly weaves together melodies and harmonies that are both technically impressive and emotionally stirring. His arrangements are always tasteful and never overdone, allowing the beauty of the songs to shine through.

Always been my favorite guitarist
Haven't heard this in nearly 30 years. Thank you so much for posting it. One of my favorite songs by Chet Atkins.
fun to listen to
Great song. Used to hear it a lot on John DeWitt's "Young Sound" format on various CBS affiliates in the late sixties and early seventies. It actually appears as track A1 on his Solid Gold '68 album, not the Solid Gold '69 as shown. Thanks for posting the tune.
Does have one HELL of a beat! I grew up amongst a lot of Herb Albert music, and loved it... Still do!
