Review by Daniel Rossi Rauch

Microwave, the latest album by Cement Tea & Oz1, is a refreshing blend of hip hop and electronic music that showcases the duo's unique sound and style. The album features 12 tracks that are a mix of upbeat and mellow beats, each with its own distinct vibe and energy.

The album opens with the track "Microwave," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy beat and smooth flow. The next few tracks, "Habitat" and "Close to the Edge," are more laid-back and introspective, featuring introspective lyrics and dreamy electronic beats.

As the album progresses, the beats become more upbeat and energetic, with tracks like "City Lights" and "Get Up" featuring catchy hooks and infectious rhythms. The album closes with the track "Nightfall," a hauntingly beautiful instrumental that leaves the listener feeling both satisfied and wanting more.

About Cement Tea & Oz1

Cement Tea is a Brazilian music producer that produces industrialised, harsh and aggressive styles of Techno, Drum & Bass, Hardcore Techno, Ambient, IDM, Breakcore and Speedcore. His style is characterised by a range of influences from animated television shows and video games, often sampling them in his tracks. Cement Tea alias started as a Hardcore Techno and Industrial project, but expanded to be multi-genre. He had previously produced different styles under a range of other aliases (IDM & Ambient as Unicode Dreamer, Drum & Bass as Triple Discharge etc) but many of these previous projects have been discontinued in favour of Cement Tea. While previous aliases of the artist for other genres have also been stylistically different, many of the genre's that he has produced under previous aliases have been accumulated by and continued under the Cement Tea alias, but in the industrialised style of Cement Tea. The producer's first ever album was in 2016 as Unicode Dreamer, titled 'My Addiction'. Starting off with IDM, ambient and breaks by releasing this album, he later expanded to other genres. His alias Cement Tea had it's first release in 2017 on Viral Conspiracy records with the album titular album 'Cement Tea'. After this he had a number of follow up albums on the Viral Conspiracy label and a few other netlabels, before branching out to other genres. In 2018 he had releases on Deathsoundbat Recordings including his album Ultimatum, which built his connections to Russian Drum and Bass. He would later with OZ1 to release a collaboration EP on Sir Vixx's Mobcore Chicago Records. He has also collaborated with other Russian producers such as Circular Discharge and VolTRusH. In 2019 he released one of his biggest projects to date on Fujimi Industry Records, the Megane LP. This album is notable for it's vast genre variation and a remix album which includes producers such as Syprexa, Crime1minister, Coakira and CDR, as well as the track Tooshio Tooshio Tooshio which would later be remixed by The 3Eyed. Later that year, he had his first ever Record Label release on Enduser and NLIC's Sonicterror Recordings with his album 'Wrapped In Despair'.
