Review by Jay Rosenberg

Bruce Foxton, the former bassist of The Jam, released his third solo album titled "This Is The Way" in 2016. The album features 11 tracks that showcase Foxton's signature sound of high-energy rock and roll with a touch of punk.

The album opens with the title track "This Is The Way," a fast-paced rock song with catchy guitar riffs and Foxton's distinct vocals. Other standout tracks include "Round & Round," a song with a classic rock feel, and "Nowhere to Run," a punk-inspired track with fast-paced drums and aggressive guitar riffs.

Foxton's lyrics throughout the album are both personal and political, touching on themes of love, loss, and social issues. His songwriting skills are evident in tracks such as "Louder Than War," a tribute to his late friend and collaborator, Paul Weller.

EMBARRASING
The album was fantastic. So many good songs but overlooked as not The Jam. Shame.
This must sound amazing after 10 pints
Bruce Foxton was Another friend of Gary Glitters.. who knows what he thinks about him now
Mr Marmite !! Yes Weller is the man we all know that. Have you listened to John Entwhistle solo stuff, shocking...even the mighty Pete Townshend solo was dodgy. Personally i love this track & was at this gig so thx for posting.
this is literally the worst thing i've ever seen.
Personally , I think Bruce wrote probably the best track of his career (Including The Jam) on the Touch Sensitive album . That track was "What I'd Give" .
Liked Bruce's Jam stuff when he sang lead, this is typical of what was happening in the mid 80's so you can't blame him for trying.
this would sound fucking immense after 10 pints....
I think Bruce lost his way a little.
1983/1984, this record was not that good. But contemporary audiences were more into Duran Duran, so what do they know? Long term, Bruce's solo stuff sounds 110% better than anything in the charts post 2000+. At least there's a melody! From The Jam should play a few of his solo songs, notably Freak and a little unknown track...Play This Game To Win (1986 EMI Harvest)? I would much rather watch Bruce live now than Weller....both guys well into their 50s, but Bruce is a much better performer.
Awesome!!!
@tony67blue what planet u on then lol
