Albert King's album Chicago 1978 is a masterpiece of blues music. The album features King's signature guitar style, which is both soulful and electrifying. The album captures the essence of Chicago blues with its gritty and raw sound. The songs on the album are well written and showcase King's vocal range and talent as a songwriter.

Comments

Whomever gave this hard-to-find OOP release just three stars is way off their rocker. This is an OUTSTANDING live set which absolutely cooks from beginning to end. Recorded in a real-deal, hardcore Chicago nightclub, the sound is great and Albert plays his butt off at the top of his game. Highly, highly recommended.
“Just the Thought of You” blew my mind. who knew Albert could croon?
41:48 Who and what is he talking about?
Brilliant unique bluesman
Better than his 1980 Sweden show in my opinion
One Of The Great KINGS Of The BLUES!! ?
Tasty LICKS, Wide BENDS, Smooth VIBRATO & tone, Tone, TONE !!! ?
If this generation knows the blues will be more happy :)
